Running: The Dartmoor Vale Half Marathon on Sunday 19th October 2008 was my first half-marathon.
Some of the reasons for running are given in this slightly over the top blog: "Why everyone should run a half-marathon".
Argentine Tango: Cambridge provides one with plenty of opportunities to dance and learn:
Here's a comprehensive timetable of Argentine tango events in and around Cambridge.
German: The University of Cambridge Language Centre provides excellent support for self-learning, as well as taught courses every term.
Piano and Music Theory: I passed ABRSM's Grade 8 Piano in 2001, and now am studying for a diploma in piano performance from the same exam board.
I have been a member of the Royal Meteorological Society since 2006.
Here is the full list of RMetS Meetings and conferences.
I've been a peer supporter for Trinity College since May 2007. Peer support aims to provide additional and more informal welfare support for students. Trained peer supporters will be around to offer a sympathetic and non-judgmental ear to issues that may arise.
Please visit the university peer support website to find out more about peer supporting, and how to contact a peer supporter.
We also have a Trinity College peer support webpage.
